JMar
JMar was born in Roswell, New Mexico, as the first of Cheryl Coffee’s 4 kids. Alongside his brothers he was constantly moving around with different family members and spent most of his early years with his grandmother in Cleveland, Ohio. He later found himself living the bulk of his teenage years with his father in Roswell where he graduated from high school.
JMar got his start in music while living in Moreno Valley, California where he joined a singing group named Farid. This early start gave JMar great insight into the music and recording industry and was the foundation he used to grow into the artist and person he is today.
JMar eventually found his way back to New Mexico where his career began to take off. JMar and his brothers started their own record label and learned how to guerilla market themselves. Through his hard work and dedication JMar was able to grow a large fan base by opening for some of the biggest names in the country while maintaining a blue collar work ethic when it came to promoting himself and his label.
After many shows and an extensive amount of touring and recording JMar had a solid product in his debut album entitled “Who I Am”. This self reflection of JMar’s life has produced 3 singles which have earned steady rotation on radio stations throughout the region. His latest single entitled “My Lady” has earned him national praise and is now on rotation in radio stations all over the country. With the success of this single JMar is gaining strong momentum all over the country and is constantly being named as one R&B’s hottest new artists for his distinct and heart felt sound and his blue collar work ethic.
JMar is currently working towards his second album with some of the best producers in the business. He has recently recorded at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles with well know producers PMG who have worked with Destiny’s Child, B2K, Shanice, Trae, MTV and more. With the momentum gained from his first album and the amount of fire power behind his upcoming album there is no doubt JMar will become a house hold name in the near future and one of the brightest international stars in the business.
